Tool Drip category guide

Choose the supported charger and charging sequence.

Battery family, simultaneous needs, exact package and charging indications define the setup.

Inventory exact packs and tools

Record the supported battery and charger models, including how many packs the tool needs at once. A charger-only package supplies no additional battery, and a common voltage or current label does not establish cross-brand support.

Separate sequential and simultaneous

48-59-1812 supports documented M12/M18 packs with sequential charging. DC18RD charges two supported LXT packs simultaneously. Those arrangements solve different readiness questions; the number of supported families does not tell you the charging sequence.

Read the full charging process

Check the exact instructions, status messages and local mains rating. GAL18V-40 documents charging stages and error indications. A 4 A label is not a fixed charge-time promise for every battery, so retain manufacturer conditions rather than calculating a universal time.
