Choose the saw type before the model.
Cut path, material, angle, blade connection and required power make the comparison useful.
Narrow the operation
Use the catalog’s tool type to separate circular, jig and reciprocating saws. Record the material, thickness, cut path and access, then check the supported operation and blade in the exact instructions. A shared battery platform does not make these types interchangeable.
Compare depth at the intended angle
2833-20 documents different maximum depths at 90° and 45°. Keep that angle in the comparison rather than treating blade diameter as cutting depth. A jig saw’s T-shank interface and orbital settings are separate questions from circular-saw capacity.
Count the packs required
XSS02Z uses one supported LXT pack; XSH06Z needs two together. Both are tool-only records. Check your available batteries, charging plan and exact included blade or adapter before choosing a package.
