Match clamp opening, reach and mechanism.
Plan the workpiece arrangement, then verify the exact clamp variant and supplied parts.
Measure two requirements
Opening across the workpiece stack and throat reach to the contact point are different dimensions. Include any support or protective blocks in that plan, and resolve unlisted dimensions at the source.
Compare how the clamp operates
GSCC2.512 uses a screw handle and slip-clutch plates; 1964718 uses a one-handed grip and quick-release trigger. Both records are single 12 in clamps, without establishing identical jaw reach or performance.
Keep force claims in context
Retain the manufacturer’s stated conditions, including sustained-force wording. A clamp’s published force does not establish a lifting rating or force actually applied to your material. Check the permitted application before using it in the project.
